TERMS & CONDITIONS



Please read the following carefully before you make a booking. When you make a booking you are agreeing to our terms.



BOOKING.

All bookings via our online system should be treated as provisional until you receive confirmation from us via email. To secure your booking a non-refundable, non transferable deposit of £50.00 is required. Bookings must be paid in full 60 days before your stay. If the booking is less than 60 days from the date of your stay the full price of the stay is required.

Payment can be made by debit or credit card on line at the time of your booking. Alternatively, you can pay by bank transfer. Confirmation of the booking will be sent after the deposit (or full payment), has been received. If the balance is not paid by the due date The Beehive reserves the right to re-let the Hive and retain the deposit. The Beehive only accepts bookings from persons over 18 years of age. The Beehive reserves the right, at all times, without statement of reasons, to refuse or cancel a booking.

The prices featured on the website are not binding; The Beehive reserves the right to modify these prices. The price stated on the confirmation invoice is binding.


A £50.00 non refundable, non transferable deposit is required on booking. If the deposit payment is made by credit or debit card the balance payment will be requested via a payment link email. All bookings made through our website or through third party websites are provisional until confirmed by us. The Beehive reserves the right to request an additional damage and cleaning deposit on any booking.

Total price includes linen, towels, electric. Wifi, Netflix, parking, fire kindling and a welcome hamper containing tea, coffee, sugar & milk and a few other little surprises!


GUESTS

No more than 2 guests may stay at The Beehive. 25+ years and over.


CANCELLATION AND INSURANCE

Your deposit is non-refundable, non transferable once you have confirmed your booking. If for whatever reason you are not able to take your holiday and the booking cannot be re-let you are still liable to pay for the booking in FULL, if we can re-let the dates then we can offer you alternative dates if available.  We strongly recommend that you take out adequate holiday insurance before you book to cover cancellation, public liability, personal belongings etc .In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the reservation due to circumstances beyond our control, we will provide a full refund of monies paid. No further financial claims will be considered.

The Beehive is not liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the event they are prevented from fulfilling your booking as a result of circumstances beyond their control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots, or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, health risks or such similar events (“Force Majeure”).

We can not be held responsible for severe weather conditions, if the weather makes it unsafe for guests stay we will inform you as soon as possible and rearrange your stay subject to availability. We will not accept liability or responsibility for any loss or damage to personal items.

The Beehive reserves the right to refuse entry, cancel bookings, or instruct people to leave for any reason (for example dangerous weather conditions, or inappropriate behavior by guests)


COVID CANCELLATION

In the event of a national lockdown, a full refund will be given. If you are unable to holiday due to a positive test, no refund will be given so we do stress any break booked, should be covered by travel insurance at all times.


ARRIVAL.

Your accommodation will be available from 3pm on day of arrival. Please confirm an approximate time of arrival on booking. We use Touch Stay, a digital guest book for all of our guests which will give you all the information you need to enjoy your stay with us, once your booking is confirmed, we will send you the link.


DEPARTURE

Please be ready to leave the accommodation at 10am on the day of departure, unless alternative arrangements have been made. Please leave the Beehive clean and tidy. The Beehive and site must be left exactly as it was when you arrived. All rubbish should be disposed of correctly and can be left near the entrance to the Hive. The kitchen and toilet/shower area should be left clean and tidy, with all crockery washed and put away. Please close ALL doors and turn off ALL lights and heating before you leave.


DOGS WELCOME.

This is on the understanding that it is kept under strict control at all times. The dog is not to be left in the property unsupervised. Please ensure flea and worming treatments are up to date. We reserve the right to charge cleaning and repair costs if your dog damages the fixtures, furniture or soft furnishings with a minimum damage charge of £75 made payable before departure. Failure to comply or report damage may be charged automatically to customer card used at the time of booking. If you let your pet sleep on the bed/furniture, please bring your own covers.


DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES

 Please take care with the Beehive. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damage which is caused to the accommodation or its contents. Please report as soon as they occur.


LIABILITY

No liability shall be accepted by the owners for loss, damage or theft of personal property belonging to guests, either in the Beehive or in to cars, bicycles or other vehicles left on the property. Nor shall liability shall be accepted by the owners for accident or injury to guests, either within the property or outside


SAFETY. 

Please do not let off fireworks . The farmers have livestock that could easily be distressed and their panic may result in serious injury. For safety reasons, we do not permit the burning of candles within the Beehive but can be lit outside on the decking area.


ENTRY. 

 We reserve the right of entry to The Beehive at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection or to carry out repairs or maintenance.


SMOKING

No smoking is allowed inside the Beehive, it is permitted outside.


ACCESS

The Beehive is not suitable for wheelchair access. There is a flat, 80mtr walk from the parking area to the unit along a well lit level pathway.


AGE RESTRICTIONS

We have a min age restriction of 25+, sorry no children.


CCTV.

The Beehive has CCTV recording the parking area to alert us to arrival of guests.


FIRE & GENERAL SAFETY 

The Beehive has a smoke detector and a fire extinguishers. Firewood is provided with no additional charge and represents a cost to ourselves, we therefore ask our guests to be respectful of this by only burning what is required. The fire pit must be kept small and manageable and never left unattended, please extinguish when finished with. All guests MUST read and follow the fire safety guide in the welcome pack. We take every care to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable holiday, but cannot be held liable for any accidents, personal injury, loss or damage or consequential loss during your stay.


GENERAL TERMS TO NOTE PLEASE

The Beehive is set in our large garden and you can see our home from the unit, we will not make use of this part of the garden whilst guests are staying but we may cut the lawns whilst you are here, also note that there are electricity cables near to the the Beehive and the view does include a few telegraph poles, however, this does not distract from the beautiful surroundings. We have small dogs who do bark when they are let out last thing at night, and we have an outside light to the rear of our property that will come on when they are let out.
